1. Women collectors of South Asia: gender, material culture, and empire, PhD Position, Lincoln/London UK

A fully-funded AHRC doctoral scholarship shared between University of Lincoln and the British Museum on the role of women collectors of South Asian objects in the British Empire. Only for UK/EU students.

2. Project Curator: Circulating Artefacts (2 positions), Job, London

The Circulating Artefacts project is looking for two project curators who can provide cultural expertise on objects from Egypt and Nubia for their provenance database. Must have strong Egyptology credentials.

3. Project Coordinator: Circulating Artefacts, Job, London

The Circulating Artefacts project, which focuses on creating and maintaining a provenance database for Ancient Egyptian objects, is looking for a project coordinator to provide admin support. One of three jobs open on the project.

5. Imperial Artefacts: History, Law, and the Looting of Cultural Property, Conference CFP, Leiden

“This interdisciplinary conference aspires to bring together (post-)colonial historians, legal historians, curators, international lawyers, and others engaged with the field to establish research collaborations by critically investigating stories of colonial looting, the framing of colonial history within museums, the origins of the legal framework concerning European laws of war and restitution, as well as a way forward for restitution claims.”
