1. PGCert Antiquities & Art Crime, Online Degree, University of Glasgow

You’ve heard about the Free Online Course that we’re developing via Future Learn, well this is a 3 course, Masters-level postgraduate certification offered online by the university of Glasgow and taught by me. This is for students who want more: real instruction, real discussion, full courses.

International students welcome; you can take one course or all three for the the PGCert; I’m happy to sign paperwork that transfers the credits; you can ‘top up’ to a full masters by becoming an in-person Glasgow student.

2. Heritage in Armed Conflict, Roundtable, New Brunswick

Part of the “Shifting Cities: Urban Heritage in the 21st Century”, this roundtable discussion will include: Brian Daniels (Penn Cultural Heritage Center); Corine Wegener (Smithsonian Institution); Mohamad Alsiadi (Rutgers, Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights); Christine Boyer (Princeton); Malek Jandali (Composer/Pianist); Samir Abdulac (ICOMOS Working Group for the safeguarding of cultural heritage in Syria and Iraq).

The focus will likely be heritage discussion but several of the participants are cultural property experts as well so theft/trafficking may be covered.
